Restaurant Ahnepark in Vellmar

We had "goose to go" and it was very delicious! With dumplings, sauce, kale and red cabbage. Super packed everything and really nice! As always!

We ordered a Christmas goose with dumplings, red cabbage and kale plus salad for Christmas, it tasted very tasty !! Great food !!

Beautifully located on the water. Great food and really nice staff. Especially the Indian waiter was great. Friendly, courteous and relaxed despite the full restaurant.

A very great location and a good atmosphere. I am happy to give a star for each. The food is far too expensive for my eighth's money, it tastes a little (cheap?) And the amount is small. Let's get to the waitress, for the first time in my life I've seen people look into their empty glass several times, look at the waitress several times and wave and they take no notice of you. I got my drink only after almost 1.5 hours. Conclusion: nice location, but really bad staff.

Food rather average but good. The staff sometimes does not communicate in a customer-oriented manner. The service could be better. The terrace directly above / by the pond is very nice.

An experience of this restaurant, especially on sunny days. Very friendly welcome and courteous service. Food and drinks were quickly taken up with little operation. The dishes (tarte flambée and matjes) were very tasty. Price / performance ratio is right. Highly Recommended.

Stayed for a coffee in the restaurant. Is nicely decorated and there is also enough space. Cappuccino and other variants tasted good and were big enough. The cake or rather the cake tasted good too, they were also big pieces. Price in the normal range, not overpriced. Nice outdoor terrace in fine weather. Staff rather reserved. I can recommend it.

Let's start with the positive. Very nice staff, the boss a unique and also very friendly! The atmosphere is really inviting, friendly colors, nicely set. Everything was neat and clean! Now for the not so nice things. SORRY you have the feeling that you do not cook with love. The food had no taste, the spices were missing completely. I had an asparagus soup that only tasted of vegetable broth. Nothing round. The Schnitzel was sometimes sinewy and tasted neutral, the fried potatoes were a bit sautéed and enriched with some onions and a few decent bacon cubes, unfortunately not spiced. The Schmand was just Schmand with herbs, unfortunately not noticeably flavored! The best flavor was the salad. Different tastes, fresh, delicious, delicious olive oil !!!! I had ordered a cocktail, as I was told that there were no limes and no cane sugar there, he could not bring the cocktail, but was on the menu .. Hmmm ... I was offered no alternative. Pity!!

This is one of my favorite places in Kassel area. Not only is it a breathtakingly beautiful, immaculately designed park with a pond and fountain, the Ahnepark Restaurant became its main attraction especially after it was expanded. Classic Rotonda-like design and a beautiful terrace sitting on the top of the pond is beautiful. Chef Tom's menu would satisfy everyone with its variety, creativity and excellent execution - both the presentation and the taste are perfect. The menu combines local classics and seasonal specialties. We always stop by Ahnepark Restaurant, when we visit the area. Bravo!

Very disappointed. After sitting outside for over 5 minutes I had to go inside to look for a waiter. They told me to just sit down and wait for my turn, which we did for another 5 minutes when a waiter passing by dropped the menus on the table not even saying "hello" or looking at us. It's like they are actively trying to scare customers away with their service.

In itself a nice cafe with nice service. Personally, I think the prices are a little high, but they are appropriate for the beautiful ambience right by the pond. A nice destination for a day trip - go for a walk in the park, see the art, let the kids play in the playground or take the train and then have an ice cream or a coffee here.
